The Dream Terrace Cottage is a self-contained miniature lamp/habitat. Its structure is built entirely from popsicle sticks assembled into walls, roof and terrace. Four compact LED modules are built into the beech base, creating a self-contained nightlight: to turn the lamp on or off, the cottage is simply lifted or placed on the base.
Warm light enters only through the cottage windows. Along the edge of the terrace, bamboo skewers secure the cottage fence.
A small beaded “bush”, skillfully woven on a thin wire and located in the corner of the terrace, creates a splash of color and life.
The creation of the Cottage required meticulous woodworking, precise beading, and the skillful integration of a hidden lighting mechanism.
The result is both a delightful miniature house and a functional lamp, inviting viewers to rediscover the charm of simple, everyday materials.
The base also bears the artists’ signature in the form of a sticker.
As part of the “Magic Wands” art direction, this work invites viewers to rediscover creativity in simplicity. Its delicate form, hand-crafted and refined with patient craftsmanship, appeals to the creative instincts: building worlds of hope and imagination from everyday objects, exploring how simple materials can be transformed into wondrous objects.
