Plakhta is a traditional belted women’s clothing that has existed since the times of Kievan Rus. The term “plathta” comes from the Proto-Slavic рлахъта – canvas, sheet, cover, canopy. As an element of folk clothing, plakhta is on the verge of extinction. Very often women wore it instead of a skirt, but we combined these two elements in one product.
We recreate authentic clothing. We are bringing Ukrainian traditions back to everyday life.
