“House of Embroidered Light” is a miniature architectural work of art that combines hand embroidery, wire beadwork, and minimalist construction with popsicle sticks. Created in 2016 as part of the “Magic Wands” series, the object invites viewers to a world where memory, childhood, and tradition intersect.
This piece is inspired by Ukrainian folk architecture and folk art, transformed into a poetic form that is both modest and luminous. Hand-embroidered window panels and decorative beading transform a simple material structure into a story-telling Wonder.
Just over 15 cm tall, this micro-house becomes a vessel of meaning: a light-filled home formed from the most ordinary things. The piece reflects a child’s vision of the cosmos – fragile, bright, and sacred.
