Contra spem spero! A brilliant poetess, whose real name is Larisa Petrivna Kosach-Kvitka. All the learned men of that time wanted to get to know her, calling her almost the only man in Ukrainian literature. She spoke dozens of languages and loved Ukrainian folklore. She fought an incurable disease, which she called the “Thirty Years’ War”. Lesya Ukrainka is the founder of a new genre – drama-extravaganza, has everyone read her “Forest Song”? Included in the list of the most famous women of ancient and modern history.
We were inspired by the poet’s creative legacy and created the souvenir “Lesya Ukrainka”.
For those who love spring, Lesya and playing the piano.
The toy is made in the author’s technique using a mixture of paper, sawdust, water, buckwheat husks and paste.
Each figurine is sculpted by hand, baked at high temperatures, sanded and painted by our craftsmen with acrylic paints by hand, modeled after vintage jewelry. Thanks to this processing, they are durable and resistant to mechanical damage. We carefully mold the small elements for each figurine from cotton wool, just like a hundred years ago, and decorate them with fabric appliqués. They are safe for children and animals because they don’t break. Environmentally friendly and durable.
