A toy from the “From Roman to Jordan” series – “Caroling”.
The stars of this collection illustrate winter Ukrainian holidays, sewn from natural fabrics, filled with padding polyester, and hand-painted by Ternopil craftsmen.
They prepared for caroling in advance — they made caroling armor, an octagonal star, and masks. Christmas caroling groups were mainly equipped by young men, and the carolers’ group included a birch, a star-bearer, a bell-ringer, a bagpiper, and a reserve player who had the task of helping the bagpiper. In the evening, when it got completely dark, girls also went with the caroling. The girl group walked with a lantern that looked like a moon or a star.
