Men’s long-sleeved shirt. It has a stand-up collar and a slit in the front. The collar, hem and cuffs are decorated with hand embroidery.
“Carpathian Animals” is a collection developed in the workshop. We created it based on the motifs of Verkhovyna shirts, where paired images of animals that protected the owner and showed who he was were used on the chests.
The bear is the personification of strength, determination, wisdom and independence. In Ukrainian folklore, the bear is most often depicted as the king of beasts, the eldest of all animals.
This fabric is as close in quality as possible to homespun cloths on which shirts were embroidered in the first half of the 20th century.
The voluminous embroidery with woolen threads is done by hand.
The use of woolen threads was characteristic of the western region and mountainous areas where sheep were once bred.
