Handcrafted Sculpture – Solomiya Krushelnytska

A famous opera singer, whose voice and talent drove the whole world crazy. All the famous musicians of that time had the honor of performing with her on the same stage. She was born in the sacred Ternopil region. Like the entire Ukrainian diaspora abroad, she always emphasized her Ukrainianness. Solomiya was admired and showered with flowers on stages in Paris, New York, Milan and Buenos Aires.

We were inspired by the singer’s creative legacy and created the “Solomiya Krushelnytska” souvenir.

 The toy is made in the author’s technique using a mixture of paper, sawdust, water, buckwheat husk and paste.

Each figurine is sculpted by hand, baked at high temperatures, sanded and painted by our craftsmen with acrylic paints by hand, modeled after vintage jewelry. Thanks to this treatment, they are durable and resistant to mechanical damage. We carefully mold the small elements for each figure from cotton wool, just like a hundred years ago, and decorate them with fabric applications. They are safe for children and animals because they do not break. Environmentally friendly and durable.
