Handcrafted Sculpture – Defender with Cat

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are our cats, noble defenders in the fight for peace and freedom. They save everyone who needs it. The Day of Defenders of Ukraine is celebrated on October 14, on the feast of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos.
A cute and witty cat in the arms of a soldier adds optimism and hope in humanity and Goodness.

Inspired by the valor and heroism of Ukrainian soldiers, we created the souvenir “Defender with a Cat”

The toy is made in the author’s technique using a mixture of paper, sawdust, water, buckwheat husks and paste.
Each figure is molded by hand, baked at high temperatures, polished and painted by our craftsmen with acrylic paints based on vintage jewelry. Thanks to this treatment, they are durable and resistant to mechanical damage. We carefully mold the small elements for each figure from cotton wool, just like a hundred years ago, and decorate them with fabric applications. They are safe for children and animals because they do not break. Environmentally friendly and durable.
