Christmas Tree Topper – Holy Family

A toy from the new series “From Roman to Jordan” – Christmas tree topper “Holy Family”.

The stars of this collection illustrate winter Ukrainian holidays, sewn from natural fabrics, filled with padding polyester, and hand-painted by Ternopil craftsmen.

According to the Gospel, Jesus’ mother, Mary, and her husband Joseph lived in Nazareth, and came to Bethlehem, fulfilling the order of the ruler Augustus – to appear for a census of the entire population. Since so many people gathered for the census, Mary and Joseph could not find a place to spend the night, and therefore they had to seek shelter in a small cave where shepherds hid in bad weather. There Mary gave birth to Jesus, then an angel descended from heaven and told the shepherds that God was born, so they were the first to come to worship the baby.
