“The world caught me, but it didn’t catch me.” Ukrainian philosopher and thinker. He espoused the idea of related work and asceticism-hedonism. For him, quality, not quantity, was important. Skovoroda is also called a wandering philosopher, because he learned the invisible from the visible. The central philosophy of Skovoroda is the idea of self-control, it plays the role of the central axis of a person surrounded by many temptations.
The Grigoriy Skovoroda Museum was the first to suffer from a Russian missile at the beginning of a full-scale invasion in 2022.
We were inspired by the philosopher’s creative legacy and created the souvenir “Grigoriy Skovoroda”
For those who are looking for themselves, love travel and self-reflection.
The toy is made in the author’s technique using a mixture of paper, sawdust, water, buckwheat husks and paste.
Each figurine is sculpted by hand, baked at high temperatures, sanded and painted by our craftsmen with acrylic paints in the style of vintage jewelry. Thanks to this treatment, they are durable and resistant to mechanical damage. We carefully mold the small elements for each figurine from cotton wool, just like a hundred years ago, and decorate them with fabric applications. They are safe for children and animals because they do not break. Environmentally friendly and durable.
